Disability Tennis

Disability Tennis

Thames Valley Tennis aims to inspire people with disabilities to play tennis, whatever their ability or background; providing opportunities for all, and credible pathways for the most talented.

We encourage full integration of players with disabilities into our regular Club sessions

We currently offer sessions for:

• Wheelchair users
• Players with learning disabilities
• Blind/visually impaired/deaf players

If you have a disability not specifically mentioned above but would like to give tennis a try, please contact Mekaya Gittens on 07889 585239 to discuss your circumstances and a suitable session for you to join.

Tennis, like all sports, provides more than just an opportunity to play. It can help to improve mobility, co-ordination, fitness and provides interaction with others both on and off the court.

Accessibility

Thames Valley Tennis Centre’s facilities are accessible to wheelchair users, with indoor courts, toilets, showers and access via a lift to the club room and gym. We also provide wheelchairs designed for tennis and have a full range of equipment, including rackets and balls, specifically designed for people with a visual impairment.

We are currently helping to deliver coaching sessions at Arbour Vale School, Slough.
