Turning Today’s Potential into Tomorrow’s Talent
Our aim is to engage participants in a fun based, learning environment which leads to individual contiuous improvement. All squads and coaching are run according to the Lawn Tennis Association Mini Tennis programme.
Our coaches focus on the three FUNdamentals of Movement – Balance, Coordination and Agility – that benefit young people in any sport. This critical, fundamental phase is often overlooked by coaches, teachers and parents, who focus on competition and winning rather than the acquisition of basic skills and fitness.
Through the values of tennis we provide our players with the building blocks for the acquisition and development of more specific sport and life skills.
- Lots of Fun
- New Friends
Tennis in particular Develops
Discipline. They learn to set goals and then work to achieve those goals. They learn that by channeling their energy into working hard they can accomplish the things that they want to in their lives.
- Motor skills
- Strategic thinking
- Math skills.
Participants develop strategic thinking as they figure out plays, the best way to score points and how to reach Match point. Math skills are also used as they calculate scores and stats.
Players quickly learn that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. They learn to be a good sport in both situations. It also helps them learn to deal with disappointment.
